The artist is my son and is very talented. In high school he was accepted by Chicago Art Institute but couldn’t afford the tuition. He graduated from Fredonia State University with a Fine Art degree.
The Old Pecan Street Festival proudly features over 275 artisan vendors and from all over the world who display and sell homemade art and craft work. Festival goers can find a variety of art mediums while also checking out the 60+ local and national musicians providing entertainment on various stages. Like Austin itself, Pecan Street Festival attendees are diverse. Some come to buy art. Some come for the food (over 30 vendors), others for the music, but they all come to take part in a tradition that is 100% Austin and has been known for the last 30 +years as a great way to spend a weekend with friends and family.
